Meet Dr. Kevin Lake

Dr. Lake earned his Bachelor of Science in Biological Sciences with a minor in American Literature from Rutgers University–New Brunswick in 1992. To help offset the cost of his education, he worked as a phlebotomist in the Department of Pathology at both St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston and Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick.

He went on to complete his dental education at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (now Rutgers School of Dental Medicine), graduating in 1998 with a Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree. During his senior year, Dr. Lake was elected class president, inducted into the Prosthodontic Honor Society, and recognized with multiple scholarships and awards, including the prestigious Law and Ethics in Dentistry Award.

Over the past 25 years in practice, Dr. Lake has continued to expand his expertise in digital, CAD/CAM, and esthetic dentistry through continuing education with Planmeca Academy in Dallas and Chicago. He is currently pursuing advanced training in digital prosthodontics through 3Shape Academy.

Outside of his professional life, Dr. Lake enjoys spending time at the Jersey Shore and enthusiastically supporting his sons in youth sports.

Laurie Lake

Registered Dental Assistant & Office Manager

I am a certified and registered dental assistant (celebrating 25 yrs) and the current office manager. My goal is to ensure all of our patients receive quality care in a safe, comfortable, caring environment. I assist our patients with scheduling appointments, treatment plans, payment plans, submitting insurance claims and referrals to specialists (as needed). 

I am grateful to be surrounded my such a great team of professionals, who strive hard to care for our patients and provide them with a pleasant experience. 

I am proud to be Mrs. Lake! Mom of two active boys that keep me very busy. In my free time I enjoy the beach and taking long walks.

Hi! I'm the first person you'll see when you visit our office, and I'm here to make sure your experience is smooth from start to finish.

As the front desk receptionist, I handle scheduling, check-ins, insurance questions, and everything in between.

I'm lucky to work with an amazing team that's not only skilled, but also super easy to work with and genuinely fun to be around. We all work together to make sure you feel comfortable, cared for, and right at home.

I have been blessed for the past many years to do what I love every day. I started chairside assisting over 30 years ago, and seeing the advances and progression of dental treatments in that time has been incredibly satisfying.

My goal each day is to treat each patient we see with the love, care, and respect that they deserve. It is a privilege to share this mission with my wonderful work family.

Hi! I’m Jessica Mojica. With over a decade of experience in the dental industry it is truly my passion to bring a warm, knowledgeable, and gentle approach to patient care.

For the last 5yrs and counting it’s been a blessing to work alongside Dr. Lake and our amazing team. As a dental hygienist I commit to helping others achieve healthy, confident smiles through every appointment.

As a team we work together to  make our patients feel comfortable, informed, and cared for.

Outside the office, I enjoy fitness and spending time with my family.

Janet Tarangelo

My name is Janet Tarangelo. I am a Registered Dental Hygienist. I have been working for Dr. Kevin Lake for almost 19 years. I attended Union County College, School of Health-Related Professions, and the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, and I earned my Dental Hygiene Associate Degree in early 2006. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge to educate my patients on the importance of maintaining optimal oral health.

I am pleased to be part of Dr. Lake’s staff and work as part of a great team to provide the best dental care to all our patients. I am compassionate to every patient’s needs. My goal is to make them feel comfortable during their visits by offering gentle and comprehensive dental hygiene care.

In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family and my 2-year-old Golden Retriever. I also love cooking Peruvian food and listening to jazz, blues, and classical music.
